"SHIRLEY"
I did this small oil portrait as an exercise to get into the
feel of oils again. I have always found that there is
nothing like oil paints to paint the ideal portrait. I
certainly discovered it all over again while doing this
painting. Of course, Shirley is a beautiful subject! Now in
the collection of the subject. |

"GEMINI" Done for a friend in remembrance of the dear friend of her
childhood, a spirited Arab cross, Gemini, who was a joy to
paint. |

"THE BLACK KNIGHT OF LESNING LANE" This is
one of my latest
paintings. It is a 21" x 28" acrylic on canvas, and
portrays the image evoked by a poem my husband wrote. (I'll
post it with his permission soon). A Black Knight challenges
as he rides towards the viewer through a bough-covered lane.
The light behind him reminds us that we need to face our
darkest challenges before we can enter the light. NFS |

The mural is complete and looks
stunning. Visit the web site to see what the finished
product looks like. You can click on each panel to see a
close up of every painting, order prints, and keep up to
date on what Lewis Lavoie is doing now. Interesting
stuff! These panels were sent to me with the colors and shapes
already on them, and it was up to me to paint an image
following those lines and colors. The top one is the
original panel #196, the second is the completed panel.
I've now started the second panel (third from the top),
panel #129. (click on the images to see the larger
versions).
